Cotton Grass, Wythop Moss

An enjoyable May walk in the north western fells. Starting from Dubwath, taking in Sale Fell, Ling Fell, Wythop Moss, Graystones, Broom Fell, Lord’s Seat and Barf, finishing at the Whinlatter Centre, and a well earned cup of tea.

Wythop Moss, a mile wide morass, was a vista of cotton grass, complemented by buttercups and the odd orchid, a delight to behold, and the inspiration for the image.
