Great Cockup

Wainwright Challenge, New Years Day 2016. Taking advantage of good weather: Binsey, Longlands Fell, Brae Fell, Great Sca Fell, Meal Fell, Great Cockup. A very pleasant walk on easy ground.

The fell’s name, Great Cockup originates from the Old English, a combination of the words cocc and hop, where hop means secluded valley and cocc means a woodcock or black grouse.
