Lodore Falls (part one)

'The Cataract of Lodore' by Robert Southey, is one of my favourite Lake District poems. I love the way Southey has created the visual build-up of descriptive words. The falls themselves need to be in spate to get close to the imaginative levels of the poem. The falls are situated at the south-east end of Derwentwater behind the Lodore Hotel.
