Mellbreak/Melbreak/Crummock

You can’t think of Mellbreak without thinking of Crummock Water, and I can’t think of Mellbreak without thinking of the Melbreak Foxhounds. Note only one ‘l’ in the spelling of Melbreak relating to the Foxhounds. My last visit was in 2016 doing the Wainwrights. A circuit from Buttermere taking in Red Pike, Starling Dodd, Great Borne, Hen Comb and the north and south summits of Mellbreak. I made a point of looking out the solitary holly tree highlighted in Wainwright’s 'Guide', to the east of Mosedale Beck, between Hen Comb and the south summit of Mellbreak.

In my image I wanted to make reference to Mellbreak, Crummock, the Foxhounds and the holly tree. In colour terms the light primaries cover everything.
