Pike o’ Blisco

Memories: Blisco Dash Fell Race. The thing I remember is not the fell, but hitting the road on the descent, jelly legs to the finish. A walk with my niece Nicola from Seathwaite, Borrowdale via Esk Pike, Bowfell, Crinkle Crags, Pike o’ Blisco, ODG, Rossett Gill, Esk Hause, Grains Gill. An epic for Nicola which she never lets me forget. Another memory: 65 peaks in 24 hours. Depart Keswick 7.00, Pike o’ Blisco 19.00 (peak 37). Dropped into Langdale, another 9 peaks before retiring at Dunmail.

The last time I visited was Day 35 of my Wainwright Challenge. A walk from Wrynose to Seathwaite via Pike o’ Blisco, Cold Pike, Crinkle Crags, Bowfell, Esk Pike. In and out of cloud all day, late lunch in Esk Hause Shelter.

The image is a play on Pike o’ Blisco, Red Tarn and Cold Pike.
