Red Tarn, Ullswater

Based in Keswick, I normally ascend Helvellyn from the Thirlmere side. Gaining the summit ridge the vista opens up. Swirral Edge, Catstycam, Striding Edge and Red Tarn remind me of previous walks around Helvellyn.

Looking further afield to Ullswater and the far eastern fells, another set of memories is triggered. My image brings together both sets of memories.

It was an opportunity to use my Buttermere and Crummock image in a different colour combination.
