Scafell Pike

A popular route up from Seathwaite is via Stockley Bridge, Styhead Tarn, Sprinkling Tarn, Esk Hause, then skirting Great End, Ill Crag and Broad Crag to the Pike. England’s highest mountain at the unforgettable height of 3210 feet. In 1970 the Ordnance Survey deleted four feet, but I have stuck with the original height. It is a wonderful walk in all seasons and all weathers.

The image depicts the tarns and the summit.
