The Eastern Fells

Based in Keswick, The Eastern Fells have mainly consisted of the ridge from Clough Head in the north to Fairfield in the south and always approached from the Thirlmere side.

Qualifying for a bus pass and doing the Wainwrights encouraged me to explore the Helvellyn range from the east. The rewards are worth it.

Day 21: from Glenridding visiting Birkhouse Moor, Catstycam, Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike, Dollywaggon Pike, White Side and Raise finishing down Sticks Pass to Stanah.

Day 23: a circuit from Rydal Hall. Nab Scar, Heron Pike, Stone Arthur, Great Rigg, Fairfield, Hart Crag, Hartsop above How, Dove Crag, High Pike and Low Pike. Lovely weather. Fairfield Horseshoe with extras. Good walk, enjoyed the company of Andrea.
