Foxes Tarn, Sprinkling Tarn, Styhead Tarn, Bleaberry Tarn, Dock Tarn, Tarn at Leaves, Innominate Tarn, Tewet Tarn and Watendlath Tarn, all have memories for me. Angle Tarn, Lanty’s Tarn, Bowscale Tarn, Red Tarn, Easdale Tarn, Floutern Tarn, Stickle Tarn, Scoat Tarn, Grisedale Tarn, Lincomb Tarns and Blind Tarn, more memories.

Foxes Tarn is more of a puddle than a tarn, but its location on the higher reaches of Scafell, makes it significant when pondering the traverse from Scafell to the Pike. Foxes Tarn or Broad Stand?
