The White Horse Inn
The pub is an integral part of a good day on the fells, a refreshing pint in the beer garden in summer, the comfort of an open fire in winter. They have changed over the years and are now known as much for their food as the selection of locally brewed beers.
An extract from my diary on completing my Wainwright Challenge: ‘a celebratory pot of tea and cake was enjoyed at the Wasdale Head Inn'. . . 'In the evening, Phil, Sarah and Theo joined Kathy and I for a celebratory meal at the White Horse Inn, Threlkeld'.
