Wainwright Cairn (2500 to 3000 feet)

A graphic image of a cairn is used by Wainwright in his Guides to distinguish between the altitude of different fells. A single circle: below 1500 feet; three circles: 1500 to 2000 feet, etc. My cairn, representing fells 2500 to 3000 feet, is a celebration of what he accomplished. His seven 'Pictorial Guides' to the Lakeland Fells are recognised as a graphic design masterpiece and a monumental achievement.
