Walla Crag and Falcon Crag

I have always been intrigued by the height of Walla Crag at 1234 feet. My preferred route from Keswick is via the lake to the foot of Falcon Crag. Cross the road and join the fellside path to Ashness Bridge. A gently ascending path takes you above Falcon Crag and on to the summit of Walla Crag.

Peregrine falcons have nested on Falcon Crag for as long as I can remember.
